In the summer of 2008, a group of 6 professionals and volunteers traveled to Vietnam. \u00a0Two University of Oklahoma senior dental students and two dentists, Dr. Frank Evans and Dr. Robert Livingston, with the coordination of Hien and Huong Tran spent two weeks in the remote villages surrounding Hue and Quang Tri. The team performed much needed dental work on children and elderly with abscessed and rotting teeth. In the following years, the organization focused on serving the villages where extreme poverty and remote locality prevented the most needy from finding basic medical and dental care.
